Associate Director, Patient Marketing
PRIMARY ROLE: The Associate Director, Patient Marketing will oversee the implementation and ongoing management of key marketing and commercial tactics to support the LSD Marketing Department of the Genetics Business Unit. This includes design of work plans and tracking systems. The Associate Director will be responsible for facilitating working group meetings, ensuring project milestones are met within established timelines, and managing budgets. Key initiatives include, but are not limited to, product launch(es), marketing programs, KOL engagement, digital initiatives and information systems/infrastructure building projects. The candidate must be highly organized, flexible, and adept at handling multiple projects with tight deadlines. This will be a highly visible position interacting with senior leadership, many internal functional groups, as well as external vendors. The Associate Director will report to the Senior Director of the LSD Marketing Department of the Genetics Business Unit.
The Associate Director is focused on:
Leading the development and implementation of consumer efforts across the business unit
Support for product launch includes launch readiness and governance, marketing projects, operations and staff meeting oversight, financial and project tracking.
Partner with Medical Affairs and other functions to develop and deliver an effective program of educating and partnering with opinion leaders in our key markets.
Providing support to marketing and commercial teams to ensure that critical tactics are implemented efficiently and effectively to achieve business goals
Facilitates team meetings, by reviewing progress against plans, identifies barriers and works with teams to resolve them
Ensures all operational work is in compliance
Defines project tasks and resource requirements
Select (when needed) and manage creative agencies that will support the delivery of core marketing programs and tactics.
Project manage specific marketing activities including congress presence, core materials and other key marketing projects as described in the marketing plan.
Work effectively within a matrix organization.
Effectively work on teams in a collaborative environment, such as brand, global, market research, advocacy, and market access teams.
Collaborate on the development of large internal meetings; such as product launch meetings, POA meetings, and congress meetings.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
-Minimum Undergraduate degree with 7 years Product Management, Pharmaceutical preferred
-Demonstrated capability in marketing campaign development leadership and execution
-Proven ability to work in an international, matrix environment.
-Excellent writing skills, editing skills, excel, power point and organizational skills
-Effective at managing teams without direct reporting responsibility
-Evidence of strong leadership/management skills
-Proven ability to communicate effectively in teams, small groups and in a presentation
Additional preferred skills:
-Pharmaceutical sales and product launch experience.
-Knowledge of rare disease, Lysosomal storage disease therapeutic area.
-Marketing degree, MBA preferred.
