EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree in related field and six (6) to eight (8) years experience in financial aid management including three (3) years in supervisory capacity.
1.Directs and coordinates the financial aid programs and activities of the institution.
2.Supervises areas of the assigned department and provides executive-level guidance for the Vice President of Student and Alumni Affairs.
3.Establishes long-range planning efforts for financial aid administration; establishes goals and objectives; directs the implementation of procedures and establishes policies necessary for achieving goals and objectives.
4.Coordinates all student aid counseling operations of the financial aid counselors.
5.Works with all division managers on various reports and projects.
6.Represents the university and the division to current and prospective students, related agencies, and the public in general.
7.Maintains industry best practices and stays abreast with federal and state legislation and regulations. Monitors compliance with existing federal regulations and analyzes policy, procedural, and fiscal impact of changes in federal programs.
8.Manages staff, makes hiring decisions, provides coaching, training and mentoring, manages performance and determines staffing needs.
9.Responsible for design, execution, and effectiveness of system of internal controls, which provides reasonable assurance that operations are effective and efficient, assets are safeguarded, and financial information is reliable.
10.Maintains confidentiality as appropriate.
**Other Duties: Performs other duties as assigned.
Strong PeopleSoft Campus Solutions experience is strongly preferred.
