JOB DESCRIPTIONThe primary responsibility of the Associate Index Analyst is to assist with the daily maintenance of Center for Research in Security Prices (CRSP) real-time indexes. Duties will include the processing of corporate actions and related information under the guidance of more senior personnel. Additional responsibilities may include testing new data feeds, software, and/or procedures. The group has an ongoing stream of corporate action data that must be verified to accurately calculate the total returns for our indexes. The Associate Index Analyst would help reconcile some of the more frequent corporate actions (i.e., cash dividends, special dividends, stock splits, reverse stock splits, etc.), enabling the Index Analysts more time to focus on complex corporate actions.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Process and apply corporate actions on the appropriate effective date.
Verify and edit exchange listings and de-listings, stock identifiers and dividends.
Support the Index Analysts and Supervisors by participating in projects as required.
