Duties: Associate-Intermediate/VP with Goldman, Sachs & Co. in New York, NY. Monitor trends in emerging market economies and financial markets in search of tactical investment opportunities. Work with Private Wealth Advisors globally to assist clients with their investment needs. Develop top-down, analytical research to support investment views and ideas. Co-author comprehensive reports on themes related to the global economy, financial markets, and geopolitics. Apply portfolio theory to investment decisions, including implementing and constructing portfolios and interpreting related risk and return measures. Understand a broad range of investment vehicles including equities, bonds, futures, swaps, forwards, options, and other related derivatives. Produce presentations for Private Wealth Management clients using MS Office applications.

Work Schedule: 40 hours per week (9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.)

Job Requirements: Bachelor?s degree (U.S. or equivalent) in a quantitative field such as Economics, Finance, Engineering. Five (5) years of experience in the job offered or in a related emerging markets position. Prior work experience must include: Identifying and assessing investment theses, key issues/debates, risks, and valuation scenarios for investment decisions; Utilizing understanding of economics, financial markets and geopolitics to identify and propose tactical investment opportunities in emerging markets; Utilizing knowledge of portfolio theory to understand how the investment opportunities identified correlate with and impact other asset classes and the overall portfolio; Utilizing valuation skills, including normalized price and profitability metrics across emerging markets; Synthesizing and presenting research analysis, recommendations, and implications of investment decisions for senior leaders, private wealth advisors and clients; Proficiency with market data tools such as Bloomberg; Financial modeling experience, including the ability to conduct statistical analysis of relevant global economic or sector data and the ability to build models in Excel to forecast equity market fundamental variables, such as earnings, sales, and profit margins; Presenting complex technical concepts and quantitative portfolio and risk management topics to private wealth clients in a clear and concise manner; Utilizing knowledge of economies and institutions of key emerging market countries such as China, Brazil, Russia, India, Korea, Taiwan and Mexico obtained through economic, policy and financial market research. FINRA Series 7 and 66 licenses required.

Salary: $200,000/year - $400,000/year
