Job Description
The Associate Director is responsible for contributing to the strategic design and execution of the post-marketing medical plan for Avonex. Within this position, the Associate Director will participate in the phase 4 and investigator- initiated trial (IIT) strategy and implementation, provide key input into data analyses and publications, and assist with integration of initiatives into the larger global and franchise plan. This position will have involvement with key healthcare providers (HCPs) in exchange of scientific and medical ideas including Advisory Boards and presentations at national meetings.
The Associate Director will have significant responsibility for scientific and clinical input and guidance into US commercial activities including strategic direction and review of all promotional materials.
This position will interact closely with the entire team of US Medical Directors on products in-market and near launch. It will also interact closely with the US MSL and payer teams, US Commercial, Global Medical Affairs, regulatory, legal, and compliance.
In addition, this position will be a key contributor to the planning and launch of the PEG IFN product, currently in phase 3 trials. In this, the Associate Director will play an integral part in MS franchise strategy.
This position reports to the Director, US Medical Affairs. Travel (approximately 15%-20%) is required.

ndidate must have an advanced scientific degree (eg-MD, PharmD, PhD) with 3 years of industry experience.
ility to understand and effectively communicate scientific and medical information to both internal and external customers. Excellent written and oral communication skills are imperative.
