Heres how this role will help:
Assist in managing projects from inception through completion, including managing the scope, budget, schedule, performance standards, project team, and communications. Provide coaching in Problem Solving and Waste Identification on an on-going basis throughout the site. Compute monthly metrics, assist in analysis and report to site leadership in support of planning and decision making.
Perform job functions in accordance with all applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs), federal and state laws, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) guidelines, health authority regulations, and departmental processes.
Communicate and endorse safety practices, monitor key safety performance indicators and visibly participate in promoting safety policies and initiatives.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Know and comply with all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Work Instructions. Create, Review, recommend and revise SOP(s) and Work Instructions as required. Oversee and/or conduct procedure training and document appropriately.
2. Assist in managing projects from inception through completion using the DMAIC roadmap. Assist in developing and administering project scope, budgets, schedules, performance standards, and communications.
3. Assist in training and provide coaching on problem solving skills and Lean Six Sigma concepts.
4. Coach and monitor development of standard work/tasking while identifying and eliminating non-value added steps.
5. Work with cross functional project teams to identify and implement process improvements to ensure site goals and objectives are met.
6. Compute monthly metrics, assist in analysis and report to site leadership in support of planning and decision making. Identify and suggest specific opportunities for improvement through metric analysis.
7. Perform other duties as assigned by the OE Manager.

Here are the minimum qualifications and essential functions for this position:
Must possess strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and a knowledge of facilities, equipment and systems. Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and cGMP knowledge preferred. Proficiency in speaking, comprehending, reading and writing English is required.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Must possess strong analytical, problem solving, and project management skills. Must have solid oral and written communication skills and possess the ability to translate complicated technical issues and documents into easily understood instructional and training documents. Must possess computer skills and knowledge, Microsoft Office Suite required, SAP and Minitab experience beneficial.
Position functions semi-autonomously, and directly reports to the OE Manager.
Minimum of a Bachelor's of Degree (or equivalent) in Industrial Engineering or Operations/Process Management (or equivalent) and 2-4 years of relative experience required. Experience preferably within a manufacturing environment, however a combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration.
Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt preferred.
Ability to read and interpret complex business and/or technical documents. Ability to write comprehensive reports and detailed business correspondence. Ability to work with managers or directors and communicate ambiguous concepts. Ability to present to groups across the organization.
Ability to perform computations such as percentages, ratios, and rates.
Ability to solve problems with a variety of concrete variables through semi-standardized solutions that require some ingenuity and analysis. Ability to draw inferences and follow prescribed and detailed procedures to solve moderately complex problems.

Some physical demand. Often lifts light-weight material. Rarely lifting/moving average weight (25 to 50 lbs./11-27 kgs) material.
Typically sitting at a desk or table, with frequent warehouse and production environment exposure. Intermittently standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling and climbing stairs. May require use of hands and use of arms. May be required to wear personal protective equipment including but not limited to: respiratory protection, safety glasses, hearing protection, safety shoes, and protective clothing. Repetitive Computer entry/typing. Periodic travel is required.

Normal office environment combined with GMP warehouse/production environment.
Generally good working conditions. Some precautions required to protect oneself such as safety glasses, ear protection, protective clothing, etc. Injuries improbable except for minor cuts, burns, etc.
Proficiency in speaking, comprehending, reading and writing English is required.
