Job Description
Company: Central Maine Medical Center
Facility: Central Maine Medical Center at Lewiston
Department: Medical Oncology O/P
Job Summary: Performs patient care both in the outpatient and inpatient settings under the supervision of a Medical Oncologist. Must possess credentials and current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in the State of Maine.
Requirements: Masters degree in Nursing Science (MSN) , Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program, Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) certification preferred, required within 2 years of hire. Advanced Practice Oncology (AOCNP) certification preferred. Required within 3 years of hire. Minimum of one (1) year oncology experience. Licensed by the State of Maine as an advanced practice registered nurse (Nurse Practitioner).
AdditionalSkills: Basic computer knowledge. Must be able to deliver patient care in a manner that is appropriate to patient s age, physical ability and intellectual development. Must demonstrate proficiency in assessing treatment and responses and adapting care to meet the needs of the patient population; geriatric, adult, adolescent and pediatric.
