Overview:



Presidio is seeking a seasoned, customer-facing Associate Project Manager experienced with managing IT infrastructure projects that meet our customer project requirements in the following areas:







* Cisco Core Routing and Switching, Security

* Cisco Unified Communications

* Cisco Wireless

* Virtualization

* EMC Storage

* Data Center technologies





Our project management approach is based on industry best practices. This is a great opportunity to work with best-in-class technology, team with engineers with deep expertise in their domains and a passion to deliver quality solutions to our customers that go above and beyond the customer's expectations. This position will report to Program Manager, PMO and can be based in our mid-town NYC office; Hauppauge, NY, Iselin, NJ; or Farmington, CT office.



Responsibilities:





1 Work with Project Managers to manage day-to-day client interaction and expectations for multiple projects

2 Creation and management of task lists, project plans, communications, meeting minutes, and issues/risks/actions

3 Manage day-to-day tasks, scope, risk, budget, and billing

4 Ensure task updates are received from Engineering team and customers and perform updates to project artifacts

5 Perform Project Administration: status updates, distribute budget reports, enter monthly milestone/billing commitments

6 Manage customer relationship and communications; following up as required

Required Skills



1 College degree in Project Management, Computer Science, Business, MIS, Engineering, or related field of study

2 Strong interpersonal skills; leadership, verbal, written communication, and presentation skills

3 Technical proficiency; capability to learn high level skills in areas of networking, security, telephony, or computer systems

4 Ability to plan, organize, and successfully drive projects to meet defined budgets and timelines

5 Ability to work independently and within a team environment

6 Ability to manage multiple projects and multiple clients simultaneously

7 Strong sense of urgency and ability to anticipate client needs

8 High energy level and ability to work independently

9 Ability to be persuasive and assertive

10 Ability to see the big picture and the importance of this role in the team

11 Ability to communicate with top executives and within all levels of customer organizations

12 Proficient in MS Office Suite; Word, Excel, and PowerPoint (and preferably MS Project)

13 Bonus: Project Management or Engineering experience in Cisco's product line (Routing, Switching, Unified Communication, Data Center Virtualization using VMware and EMC product lines)

14 Bonus: Currently have any of the following certifications or willingness to start on the track to obtain: PMP, A+, Network+, CCNA, CCNP, ITIL, OSHA, etc.
