The Hematology Research Group is part of Pfizer's Biotherapeutics Unit, one of the two major units in Pfizer Worldwide RD. Pfizer Hematology Research applies a heavily externalized model; the team advances internal programs in a matrix environment & to a significant degree collaborates with external partners in academia, industry & at commercial service providers. br /br /strongResponsibilities /strongbr /The ideal c&idate will be an experienced scientist with significant knowledge in the field, capable to work independently & to provide guidance to internal & external cross-disciplinary teams (project teams, contract organizations, partners in academia & biotech industry). br /br /The c&idate will work closely together with Pfizer's Specialty Care Business Unit & Partner Lines providing support on drug safety, PK/PD, CMC & other areas. br /br /The ideal c&idate will have an interest in working actively on programs. br /br /The c&idate must have demonstrated communication & leadership skills & must enjoy working in a highly leveraged & dynamic environment. br /br /Experience in industry-sponsored drug development, primarily preclinical is required. br /br /strongQualifications /strongbr /PhD or MD with at least 5 years experience in non-clinical hematology research; experience in pharmaceutical development preferred. br /br /Demonstrated scientific leadership, past record working in matrixed teams. br /br /Excellent communication & presentation skills. br /br /Ability to identify & guide collaborations with external partners. br /br /strongEqual Employment Opportunity /strongbr /Pfizer is committed to equal opportunity in the terms & conditions of employment for all employees & job applicants without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, age, gender identity or gender expression, national origin, disability or veteran status.
