UC Merced Campus Recreation is charged with providing a dynamic recreational and fitness experience for students, staff, and faculty as well as guests and special programs affiliated with the campus. The Athletic Trainer supports this mission through provide preventative injury care to sport club athletes and by providing game and event care to student athletes.
The Athletic Trainer must have a very clear understanding of the following areas of emphasis: injury care and prevention for athletes, risk management, and customer service.
This position reports directly to the Assistant Director of Campus Recreation.
This posting will remain open for six months; it will then be closed and reopened under a new position number. Once a position has been closed, you will need to re-apply to each new position to continue to be considered.

Bachelors degree required in appropriate area of specialization.
Certified by the National Athletic Trainers Association Board of Certification.
State Athletic Trainer Licensure.
Familiar with NCAA and NAIA governing rules.
