span Modis is currently seeking an Audio Visual Technician for an exciting 6 month contract job with our top federal banking client, located in downtown Chicago. br   br Our client is seeking an individual to join their Corporate Support team to provide dedicated assistance in setting up, managing and scheduling video conferences, conference calls, webinars and other multimedia presentations. br   br The ideal candidate needs to have a minimum 5 years of experience, and be able to provide technical consultation, coordinate tasks, and manage communications for mid to large-scale Video Conferencing projects. Serving as a subject matter expert, this job combines business knowledge with technical acumen to help drive AV architecture decisions and formulate AV policies and procedures. Provides user support and assists in the development, setup, monitoring, testing and maintenance of technical conferencing solutions and equipment. Ensures processes and procedures are consistent and of high quality service. The level of work required is considered advanced and the incumbent must perform under minimal direction. May guide and provide direction to Multimedia Technicians.   br   br B The primary tasks and responsibilities for this Multimedia Specialist will include: /B br • Works with the department manager to define and implement strategies aligned with department goals br • Conducts audio visual needs analysis for the organization to align with department strategy br • Participates in national Audio Visual and Videoconferencing groups and represents the Multimedia Services department needs and requirements br • As the lead technical expert, maintains current knowledge and relevant skillset in the field of Videoconferencing and provides recommendations for process improvements br • Consults on AV architecture decisions that align with business needs Solutions Design & Development br • Develops complex audio, video and data conferencing solutions using components such as televisions, monitors, user interfaces, microphones, cameras, codecs, AV processing equipment and control systems br • Works with the Network, Architecture, Information security and other IT groups to validate design and architectural recommendations as it relates to AV systems br • Determines equipment requirements and cost analyses for installations, ranging from simple to broad complexity br • Develops, recommends and maintains technical standards for design, equipment and support of multimedia systems Technical Support/Maintenance br • Creates and manages the Videoconference weekly schedule and coordination with event planners br • Responsible for installation, setup, monitoring, testing, and maintaining audio conferencing, videoconferencing and audio visual technologies and equipment br • Manages scheduling and customer communications for audio conferencing and Videoconferencing calls br • Client/Ticket Management, Support & Troubleshooting br • Oversees the management of support tickets from ticketing system and ensures a high level of client support and service br • Resolves the most complex issues creative problem solving skills Troubleshoots AV, Videoconferencing and Audio conferencing issues (Level 1-3 support) br • Serves as the central point of contact for vendor(s) and other IT groups to resolve issues Documentation br • Oversees the identification and development of manual processes or automated, scripted, solutions for common videoconferencing issues br • Develops, organizes and maintains standard operational procedures and workflow processes and procedures for AV syste
