?5+ Years of AV field implementation experience ?Bachelor?s Degree or Associates Degree in an IT related discipline or equivalent experience ?Ability to determine, evaluate and diagnose advanced video related connection issues and performance problems. Experienced with security infrastructure equipment operations and their functions ?Punctuality and time management skills to make time sensitive appointments and meet client deadlines ?Ability to maintain a professional and positive attitude in a fast paced and high pressure environment ?Possesses and demonstrates strong verbal and written communication skills ?Background in network and video protocols and codecs to include: TCP/IP, H.323, SIP, G.711, G.729 and Cisco video codecs ?Ability to adapt technologies to meet changing business processes, and environments ?Knowledge of enterprise risk processes and best practices ? Broad knowledge of AV infrastructure, with strong understanding of the relationship between audio, video, telecommunications technology components and software including: MCU, TMS, Cisco codecs, Microphones, AV amplifiers, Scalars, Multiplexers, Splitters, and cable standards and other Audio Visual technologies ?Possesses and applies both specific, and broad knowledge of principles, practices and procedures in the field of specialization to the completion of assignments Other Requirements: ?This position has an on-call function that requires 24/7 availability and support for high impact issues. ?Must be able to lift AV equipment of 35+lbs ?Must be able to sit for extended periods of time ?Must be able to quickly push mobile AV carts weighing 60+lbs from room to room
The Multimedia Architect provides technical consultation, coordinates tasks, and manages communications for mid to large-scale Video Conferencing projects. Serving as a subject matter expert, this job combines business knowledge with technical acumen to help drive AV architecture decisions and formulate AV policies and procedures. Provides user support and assists in the development, setup, monitoring, testing and maintenance of technical conferencing solutions and equipment. Ensures processes and procedures are consistent and of high quality service. The level of work required is considered advanced and the incumbent must perform under minimal direction. May guide and provide direction to Multimedia Technicians. This position does not have any direct reports. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: * Essential Duties Technical Area Expert ? 30% ?Works with the department manager to define and implement strategies aligned with department goals ?Conducts audio visual needs analysis for the organization to align with department strategy ?Participates in national Audio Visual and Videoconferencing groups and represents the Multimedia Services department needs and requirements ?As the lead technical expert, maintains current knowledge and relevant skillset in the field of Videoconferencing and provides recommendations for process improvements ?Consults on AV architecture decisions that align with business needs Solutions Design & Development- 30% ?Develops complex audio, video and data conferencing solutions using components such as televisions, monitors, user interfaces, microphones, cameras, codecs, AV processing equipment and control systems ?Works with the Network, Architecture, Information security and other IT groups to validate design...
