Join DecisionPoint Corporation as an Audiovisual Technician for a position located in Ft. Hood, TX. This position will support Operational Test Command which is an exciting program focused on Information Technology. About the Job: -Under minimal guidance, install, configure, operate, repair, and maintain video teleconferencing equipment and related video and telecommunications peripheral, conditioning, and line equipment. Responsibilities will include: - Manage and administer IP and ISDN VTC systems, ensuring room operation, scheduling and configuration management and equipment readiness - Perform operational tests, configuration management, cryptographic material management and coordinate with the appropriate COMSEC personnel - Perform preventative maintenance required on the VTC equipment and equipment used for VTC and audio support including personal computers, multimedia projectors, display, pointing and remote control devices, audio equipment (i.e., microphones, audio mixers, audio/video switching devices, speakers, amplifiers, etc.) - Conduct on-site systems acceptance testing to insure proper installation and configuration of equipment - Facilitate on-site secure VTCs where SES or General Officer (GO) personnel are present - Conduct and/or provide technical assistance for any verification, validation, and accreditation actions required for establishment or maintaining the VTC systems - Provide technical guidance and limited training/demonstration of VTC and desktop VTC/collaboration system to other STG support personnel and to certain other supported government and contractor personnel - Maintain existing VTC documentation library and provide updates/changes, as necessary - Provide VTC and teleconference pin statistics, as required, validate system and facility usage reports - Maintain property accountability - Provide audio/visual support, as needed, for ceremonies, presentations, training, etc. Assists in audiovisual productions by working with company or customer staff on the design, installation, and positioning of sets and props as directed. Advises speakers and presenters on media alternatives. Delivers, sets up, tests, and operates audiovisual equipment for organization meetings. Maintains equipment and troubleshoots equipment problems. Draws upon training and limited experience in performing routine assignments that are determined by established practices, standards, and processes. Works under close supervision. Normally receives detailed instructions on all work. Solves routine problems of limited scope and complexity. Follows established policies, procedures, and practices. Uses time efficiently and requests assistance as needed to meet deadlines. Participates in team discussions and works well with peers. Responds positively to coaching. Communicates within the immediate team and with users to resolve basic problems. Refers more complex problems to intermediate and/or senior levels. Ability to see and read computer screens and other digital displays. Ability to communicate via computer and telephone. Requires lifting and movement of audiovisual equipment up to 35 lbs with and without assistance while bending and twisting the torso. Must be able to operate material handling and transport equipment to situate audiovisual equipment. Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma, technical trade or military school - 1+ years' experience configuring and maintaining digital computers and peripherals - 1+ years' experience in operating and maintaining video teleconferencing equipment and related video and telecommunications peripheral, conditioning, and line equipment - Experience with video conference operations, systems, protocols and standards - Effective communication skills and professional appearance - Ability to obtain a Secret clearance w/Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) - Ability to occasionally flex hours during the week and/or work weekends, as needed - Ability to obtain the DISN Video Service-VTC certification (training provided) - The employee must be able to push, pull, lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds - Preferred - Experience using Cisco and Polycom products in an integrated multimedia AV and VTC environment Preferred Qualifications: Security+ preferred
