Marquette Bank is a friendly, neighborhood banking organization in the south Chicagoland area that provides a range of financial solutions for individuals, families and businesses within the neighborhoods we serve. We are now seeking an Audit Liaison to join our team!
This is the ideal role for an audit professional with in-depth financial experience to take their next step with a banking organization that is leading the way in service and products.
As Audit Liaison, you will be responsible for coordinating all outsourced and co-sourced audits across Marquette Bank.
Reviewing audit scope, you will manage the audit process and will assist in the development of audit responses.
Specifically, you will coordinate activities with the Bank's outsourced audit vendors to ensure adequate levels of testing for compliance with law and regulations in all Bank functions.
The audits with which you'll be involved include, but are not limited to, FDIC/IDFPR, external audits, outsourced internal audits, compliance audits, IT audits and loan review audits.
You'll attend audit meetings, committee meetings and exit meetings. You'll prepare audit committee packets, take minutes, present at meetings, review engagement letters, manage various audit reports and other associated reports.
To be successful in this role, you must have experience in operational and financial auditing of financial institution products and services including and not limited to:
- Deposit products and accounts
- Consumer loan accounts
- Real estate loans and products
- Commercial loan accounts
- Investment accounts
- Capital accounts
- Retail products such as overdraft protection plans and debit cards
- Non-deposit investment products (NDIP)
- Trust activities
- FDICIA and COSO compliance
- Accounts payable
To be considered for this engaging role, you must have at least six years' of financial institution auditing experience and a Bachelor's degree, preferably in accounting, finance, business administration or business management. You'll also need strong IT skills using MS Word and Excel, excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work well with staff at all levels of an organization.
Experience using bank core processing systems, ideally FIS Horizon, is a plus. Also preferred is a professional certification, such as a CPA, CIA, CFE or CTA, as well as public accounting experience with financial institution clients.
