They must develop and motivate their engagement staff and provide them with counseling and career guidance. Managers have control over, and exercise wide latitude and discretionary decision-making in establishing the most advantageous course of action for the successful management of each audit engagement. They draft and assist in the delivery of proposals for engagements and know the range of services. Managers must have deep technical experience and are expected to develop expertise in a given industry/service line.
