Auditor Sr IT - Data Analytics

Job Summary
Individual contributor who function at a Senior IT Auditor level reporting to the Director of IT Audit and focused primarily on providing Data Analytic services to the Internal Audit department. The Internal Audit department is composed of two distinct teams which work closely together - Internal Audit, Compliance, and Fraud & Investigations. This position will support the audit and fraud teams in obtaining and analyzing relevant data across the organization in support of active investigations, proactive fraud assessments, and the risk-based audit plan. This individual will collaborate and work closely with the auditors and will drive the analytics capabilities of the division while continuing to build and mature a continuous auditing program. The position is involved in activities such as providing input into the preparation of detailed programs for business and IT audits as well as forensic reviews, educating various division resources on the use of analytics. Also, will work with relevant stakeholders to acquire data, the review and manipulate complex data sets across internal and external systems, and document techniques, procedures performed, and results. Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesLead data analysis efforts through extraction and analysis or transactional data using ACL queries. Participate in IT Audits and Operational Audits. Demonstrate good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for performing analytic reviews and evaluating results. Document the analytic results in a way that the audit and fraud teams can understand and then discusses outcomes with relevant business management. Suggest and implement improvements in operations, practices, systems and policies, based on findings of audits, assessments, and reviews. Network with senior personnel within the business and information technology to resolve issues, gain needed information and data, and influence outcomes. Develop automated audit solutions including controls monitoring and data analysis. Assists in the definition of data analytics policies and procedures as well as training division resources on the use of analytical tools and techniques. Drive the use of data analytics, using ACL, to enhance the effectiveness of all audits. Independently identifies and investigates issues related to projects. Selects approach from accepted body of methodology or recommends alternatives which include system identification, remediation of issues, and reconciliation/documentation of analysis and resolution.May perform additional duties as assigned. DirectorSkills, Knowledge & AbilitiesRequires excellent knowledge of ACL or similar data mining tool, Access, and SQL to perform complex data analytic procedures on a diverse scope of problems. Experience manipulating and analyzing data in a variety of formats Working knowledge of MIS related topics and procedures. Good team work skills including effective team interactions, providing timely and constructive feedback, negotiating issues and resolving problems. Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to effectively resolve moderately complex situations and issues. Must be results oriented with the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment. Proven track record of building solid relationships with clients, including demonstrated abilities to approach clients in an organized and knowledgeable manner and to deliver clear requests for information. Proven ability to maintain confidentiality, as this individual will access sensitive information and data on a daily basis IT Audit, control testing, and project management. Education & ExperienceBachelor's Degree, preferably in Accounting/Finance and/or MIS, or equivalent. Typically a minimum five to eight years of related financial/MIS analysis experience. Project Management experience a plus.
