These engineering roles will works both independently and as part of a team to maintain and improve processes and systems used in product manufacturing. The incumbent will be responsible for providing engineering support to the production area.

Responsibilities:

* Perform technical analysis of manufacturing processes to support management decisions
* Direct the acquisition, design, fabrication and repair of all necessary tooling and machines
* Troubleshoot day-to-day process issues, develop solutions, and monitors process improvements
* Procure material related to manufacturing improvements through external suppliers
* Perform quality checks on machines & support company quality initiatives
* Analyze and deploys engineering change notices
* Respond to customer issues and lead process improvements
* Developing, analyzing and managing Manufacturing/ Assembly Projects
* Supporting NPI (new product introduction) / Salvage Projects
* Assisting in developing department capital and expense budgets
* Maintaining the department capital forecast
* Training Engineering Technicians to support production processes
* Creates and maintains process documents (STD work, Control Plans, FMEA's, OPM, Etc)
* Implementing new processors and developing training programs for Processors and Assemblers
* Engaging in creative problem solving to address operational issues including: ergonomic/ safety, efficiency improvements, process bottlenecks, quality concerns
* Working with internal and external suppliers to develop and manage projects to ensure efficient and cost effective systems and processes to produce quality products
* Designing, developing and implementing the integration of manufacturing systems including factory control software, scheduling techniques, simulation and systems application
* Providing manufacturing technical support in process control and internal certification
* Coordinating the purchase and application of machine tools, controls and related equipment wide to ensure the latest technology is being used to increase efficiency and economy of operations
* Designing complex or intricate jigs and fixtures to support manufacturing processes
* Supporting built in quality for production line
* Interface with the customer to understand and correct customer warranty issues

Desired Skills and Experience:

* Bachelor's degree in Engineering and minimum 3-5 years of manufacturing engineering experience without relevant degree
* 3-5 years of experience as manufacturing engineerpreferred in tooling, stamping, welding or robotics
* Experience in Project management / Project leadership
* Experience in creating & implementing standard work
* Thorough knowledge of manufacturing concepts
* Good written and oral communication skills
* Blueprint Reading & GD&T experience
* Experience in implementing lean manufacturing concepts
* Experience with machining & assembly processes will be a plus
* Experience with PLC software
