The BDO Consulting Manager is responsible for managing client engagements. In this role, the manager will interact with senior client personnel, thus a strong client presence is needed along with excellent communication skills. This role will also apply analytical skills and withsolution development experience to client requests for process improvement assessments, compliance program assessments and implementation effectiveness.


- Bachelors degree required

- MBA or other relevant advanced degree preferred


- More than six years banking and/or financial services experience required

- Big 4 consulting or comparable; inside industry experience preferred

- Regulatory compliance and/or transformation experience required

- Financial services experience is required


- ACAMS is desired

- PMP/PgMP is desired

- Six Sigma and/or LEAN is desired


- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, PowerPoint and Word

- Access and Visio skills a plus

- Strong analytical, writing, and presentation skills

- Strong delivery focus

- Excellent oral and written communication skills

- Solid organizational skills especially ability to meet project deadlines with a focus on details

- Proven ability to work in a deadline-driven environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously

- Ability to interact effectively with people at all organizational levels of the firm

- Capacity to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and client personnel

- Strong teamwork skills and able to encourage team environment on engagements and contribute to the professional development of assigned personnel

- Executive presence and ability to act as primary contact on assigned engagements

- Ability to proactively manage project risk and work effectively
