***PLEASE NOTE THIS POSITION WILL SERVICE MISSISSIPPI'S NORTHERN AND WESTERN DIVISION.***

Summary Expands Hancock Bank market share by selling financial services therefore increasing the number of households through nonfranchised means by performing the following duties:

Anyone who takes a residential mortgage loan application or offers or negotiates terms of a residential mortgage loan for compensation or gain must register with the National mortgage Loan system as a Mortgage Loan Officer (MLO). To be registered, the MLO must pass a background check. Failure to comply with registration and annual registration or not pass a criminal background check administered by NMLS will result in termination.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Sets and make Bank at Work presentations

Opens checking accounts and cross-sell all bank products Uses approved online form on site then enters data into SalesPro at the branch to open account.

Accepts direct deposit requests, processes at branch and delivers directly to the clients Human Resources department.

Takes applications for Home Equity Loans, Credit Cards, etc.

Responsible for all follow-up onboarding processes including our 2 x 2 x 2 client contact strategy

Develops prospects from presentations, referral leads, and other sources

Maintains a book of businesses that participate in the Bank at Work program

Contacts prospective customers to present information on available services such as deposit accounts, lines-of-credit, credit cards or investment services

Determines customers' financial services needs and prepares proposals to sell services

Reviews business trends and advises customers regarding expected fluctuations

Attends sales and trade meetings to develop new business prospects

Makes presentations on financial services to groups to attract new clients

Prepares forms to complete sale

Enters new customer data and other sales data into computer database

Develops relationships with customers and conducts a warm handoff to the branch personnel.

Secondary Duties

Has a thorough understanding of all bank products and is familiar with Needs Based Selling in order to make consultative recommendations to their clients

Makes referrals to LOB partners that appear seamless to the clients


Education and/or Experience
Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


Personal Skills
This person has to be a 'People Person' that exhibits significant product knowledge and how the products will benefit the client; be able to communicate that knowledge in a professional manner that demonstrates a high level of integrity and trust.

About 75% of the week is spent outside of the office about half doing onsite presentations and the other half meeting with HR/Finance, etc. at various places of work explaining the BAW program and setting onsite times. Attendance at trade shows and other prospect gathering meetings is expected.
