* If you are interested in this position, please apply at * Position Summary: Manage the Banquet kitchen area and preparation with an overview of the main kitchen area, cooking line, prep to ensure all kitchen personal produce the menu items to perfection for our banquets space. You will also manage all kitchen production and staff including but not limited to, HACCP, portion control, sauces, pasties, dishwashers and service. Some degree of involvement in the other outlets is expected such as approaching tables to discuss special needs or to greet VIPs. Primary Duties & Responsibilities: Manage food production according to the order specification (Banquet Event Order and Micros checks) and according to the standard recipe. Must be able to create menus and order proper quantity of food for all outlets Must be able to make decisions quickly and staying customer focused Must enforce proper steps to ensure compliance with local Health Department Authority and employee safety programs Manage and coach cooks during production time and service Manage prepping productivity Manager dishwashers Involved in scheduling, cost control, internal controls, ordering and purchasing, menu planning Involved in hiring staff, employee reviews and disciplinary process Able to stand for long periods of time Able to push, lift, pull up to 50 pounds May work in other areas of the hotel if there is the need Customer Service Qualities: Outgoing, Friendly Personality Effective Communicator in the English Language, Spanish a plus Take ownership and be responsible for own actions, follow directions given by supervisors Work Ethic Qualities: Punctual Willing to Learn new ideas and methods Flexible Motivated and trustworthy Flexible schedule
