This position is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Bell/Door/Valet team. This will include the responsibility of overseeing the safe and efficient relocation of guests automobiles to designated parking locations. The Bell Captain is also responsible for ensuring the timely delivery and retrieval of guests luggage by all team members. This position will assign and instruct Bell/Door/Valet team members in details of work. They will ensure the team stays focused on delivering an exceptional guest experience with heavy focus on arrival and departure. Adhere to and implement brand standards and hotel objectives. The Bell Captain is also responsible for training, scheduling, hiring, disciplining, performance management and visually monitoring performance of all employees. Essential Job Functions: Oversee the timely delivery and retrieval of luggage, amenities, various items to the guest rooms. Manage the property parking logistics and provide the team with appropriate steps of preparation for timely and accurate placement and retrieval of guest vehicles. Drive and manage operation of complimentary guest shuttle. Handle confidential and guest information with the highest degree of integrity. Ensuring good safety practices of guests throughout the hotel and that proper emergency and safety procedures are followed and trained on. Attend and schedule departmental meetings, pre-cons, and other meetings as required. Work together with event managers and familiarize with group resume documents to ensure group guests have all details attended to. Train and oversee daily operations. Ensure exceptional guest experience with heavy focus on arrival and departure. Work hand in hand with front desk and concierge to ensure seamless guest experience. Hire, perform background checks, and provide training for new hires and ensure on the job training is consistently conducted. Any other duties as directed by the Front Office Manager, Director of Rooms and Assistant Front Office Manager. Qualifications: Must be able to stand for up to 10 hours. -required Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. -required Valid driver's license. -required In person interviews. -HIGHLY PREFERRED Satisfactory driving record. -required Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays. -required Previous Bell Captain/Bellman experience. -preferred Previous managerial/supervisory experience. -preferred Be a part of the resort where it all started.
