br GENERAL PURPOSE
br
br Under general supervision, provides porter services to hotel guests and ensures their satisfaction and comfort by promptly and courteously responding to guest requests.
br
br ESSENTIAL DUTIESRESPONSIBILITIES
br
br Upon arrival, greets and assists guests by helping unload luggage from vehicle and transporting to their room, personally carrying the luggage or using a luggage cart.
br
br Upon departure, assists the guest by transporting luggage from room to lobby, and helping the guest load luggage into vehicle.
br
br Responds to guest needs by promptly delivering, in person, laundry, newspapers, iron amp; ironing board, additional linens, etc. Maintains written log, recording these requests and deliveries.
br
br Responds to inquiries and promotes the hotels services, in person and on telephone, by explaining productsservices. Provides the guest with up-to-date hotel information in order to enhance customer relations.
br
br Keeps abreast of local activities and the areas establishments in order to answer questions, recommend and give directions.
br
br Maintains a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times.
br
br Points out to each guest the fire exits, usage of TV and AC and provides ice.
br
br Delivers newspapers nightly to all occupied rooms (11:00pm -7:00am shift). Monday through Friday.
br
br Maintains and acts as security at all times by: Carrying radio after maintenance is gone; Walking through the floors at least three times (11:00pm-7:00am shift); Making sure the gate in the driveway and garage is down at 11pm and back open at 6am; Locking the lobby doors at 11pm and communicating with the night auditor as to when to open until 7am; Staying at your post at all times during your shift. Locking the pool area at 11pm and re-opening at 7am.
