Position
Bilingual Outreach Advocate

Overview
The Bilingual Outreach Advocate will provide a variety of clinical and advocacy services and interventions for victims of sexual assault/domestic violence and their families. Advocate will interact with professionals from other disciplines and agencies involved in sexual assault/domestic violence investigations and /or provision of services to victims and families. The Bilingual Outreach Advocate will report to the Director.

Expectations
All Esther House employees are expected to work toward the mission of the agency with respect and integrity, serving as ambassadors of Esther House throughout the community. Employees must maintain the confidentiality of clients, staff and the agency, and follow all rules and agency policies.

Qualifications

1.Knowledge of the dynamics of domestic violence, sexual assault and human trafficking.
2.Knowledge of the legal system and domestic violence/sexual assault and human trafficking laws
3.20 hours of DV training and 20 hours of SA training
4.Must have dependable transportation
5.Be available for on-call schedule
6.Must possess strong writing and communication skills
7.Ability to advocate services across all cultures with dignity and respect.
8.Minimum of Associate Degree
9.Ability to maintain confidentiality of records relating to clients
10.Ability to function in stressful situations and maintain integrity of situation.
11.Knowledge of Immigration laws and procedures.
12.Must speak fluent English and Spanish.
