Department: Patient Accounts
Southern Maryland Hospital is seeking a dynamic individual who excels in providing outstanding customer service skills and has a background in finance/ accounting.
Requirements:
1+ years of billing/collecting experience, preferably in a healthcare environment.
Knowledge of UB-04 format for electronic claim submissions.
Knowledge of guideline/regulations of payors: Medicaid, HMO, MCO, Commercial carries, CareFirst, Medicare, and Workers Compensation- appeals claim, follow up.
