Job Description
Adventist Health System is currently seeking qualified candidates for a Billing Account Coordinator for the Home Health department. This position will be based in Port Charlotte, Florida. This position is responsible for Medical Billing (no coding) Collections, and Insurance Verification. Verifying patients' insurance benefits involves taking basic information provided by our agencies and either calling the payer, or looking on the payer website for the needed information.

Requirements:
Education/Experience:
- High school diploma
- One year of Medical Billing experience
Software Requirements:
- Good typing skills and a basic knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook(preferred)
- Working knowledge of Horizon - Customer Maintenance including Account Work Notes(preferred)
- Ability to learn payer websites through internet explorer(preferred)
