Job Description
AmeriPath, a Quest Diagnostics company, is one of the leading anatomic pathology practices in the United States offering a broad range of testing and information services used by physicians in the detection, diagnosis, evaluation and treatment of cancer and other diseases and medical conditions. AmeriPath's extensive diagnostics infrastructure includes over 400 pathologists and doctorate-level scientists providing services in over 40 independent pathology laboratories and in more than 200 hospitals across the US.
We are currently searching for a Billing Client Services Representative to join our team. In an environment where the patient is at the center of everything that we do individuals in this position typically work in a call center environment to respond to patients, clients or their representative. They will research billing issues in order to respond and resolve them to the patients and companies satisfaction.
Job Qualification:
* Must have a High School diploma or GED - required * One year experience in a call center or customer service preferred * Prior billing experience a plus
* Fluent in both English and Spanish - preferred
KEY PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Answer inbound calls from the phone queue
* Work account to obtain reimbursement and compiling information for the Collectors
* Correct and re-file claims, as necessary
* File to secondary insurances, as necessary
* Verify eligibility for patient benefits
* Assist patients with Financial Hardships
* Research and resolve issues presented in each phone call, documenting each account with action taken
* Maintain a call log
* Take credit card payments, to be posted by Cash Associate
* Maintain confidentiality of information that is pertinent to AmeriPath Consolidated Business Office
* Maintain productivity standards as set by management
* Responsible for reporting problems and errors to management in an effective and efficient manner
* Attends & participates in departmental staff meetings
* Other duties, as assigned
