Under the general direction of the Laboratory Administrative Director, the Laboratory Billing Coordinator optimizes hospital reimbursement by collecting patient ICD-10 diagnosis codes for laboratory services. Other patient information (ex. ordering physician) is collected and reconciled as needed.
* Work requires proficiency in the use of data management tools and software applications..
* Work requires ability to learn, understand and utilize moderately complex billing codes and regulations.
* Work requires ability to learn, understand, and utilize multiple information systems.
* High school diploma plus 5 years experience or
* Bachelor s Degree with 1-3 years experience
