POSITION SUMMARY

The Billing and Reimbursement Associate is responsible for troubleshooting payment processing issues and identifying payer trends. Identifies opportunities for payment processing and quality assurance improvements and recommends implementation within the business. Identify, develop and conduct training/retraining on process improvements, changes and updates.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Troubleshoots payment processing issues identified by the Billing & Collection team and QA reports; identifies trends, formulates process improvement recommendations and determines appropriate correction, develops and conducts training/retraining, mentor team members on changes and updates

Serves as liaison between payer and internal Information Exchange department to ensure proper set up of payer accounts in Rx Home for auto-posting. Performs new payer system testing to ensure appropriate auto-posting rates. Determines root causes of errors relating to auto-postings and identifies / implements changes.

QUALIFICATIONS

BA/BS degree

*
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, including Excel and Word

Maintains working knowledge of rules and changes in existing business and systems related to claims payment and claims processing

Ability to work independently and utilize discretion in troubleshooting and process improvement initiatives
