JOB DESCRIPTIONAPPLY This Billing Specialist Position Features:
Primary job responsibilities are production of billing statements in a variety of formats and frequencies, posting checks and wires, balancing/auditing accounts and assisting internal staff and external clients with question and concerns. Provide effective communication with clients and staff, while handling inquiries and issues in a courteous, professional and timely manner.
Must be flexible and disciplined enough to multi-task and handle a variety of tasks.
DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:
? Research & accurately apply daily receipts to accounts.
? Work closely with clients, brokers and TPAs on various problems and concerns regarding billing, statements and eligibility issues.
? Research, reconcile, audit, resolve and make adjustments on accounts.
? Prepare statements for mailing via U.S.P.S., emailing in pdf format. Work statements into Excel and email.
? Call or email past due accounts for collection.
? Keep updated log of past due accounts for reporting purposes.
? Assist in the set up of accounts for ?new? clients to achieve their billing needs.
? Establish work procedures and processes for Billing Department that support company and departmental standards and strategic directives.
? Effective communication with internal departments on issues.
? Responsible for identification of pending issues and bringing to the attention of the manager.
Education: High school graduate. Proven experience in Accounting ? Accounts
Receivable and Collections, knowledge of Microsoft Excel with Macros, Word and 10-
Experience: Must have prior billing and account receivable experience. Excellent
computer skills and proficiency in Excel with spreadsheets and macros. Demonstrated
ability to reconcile eligibility to billing payments. Also requires excellent verbal and
written communication skills to communicate with clients via phone and written
correspondence. Experience and ability to prioritize multiple tasks appropriately. Prefer
customer service experience or knowledge.
