The Advanced Biomedical Computing Center (ABCC) is a part of the Information Systems Program at SAIC-Frederick. The ABCC provides technology development, scientific consultation, training, & high-performance computing support to the National Cancer Institute (NCI) & NIH scientists & staff.

JOB DESCRIPTION

As part of the bioinformatics core serving the NCI Center for Cancer Research, the Bioinformatics Analyst II is responsible for providing collaborative bioinformatics support to the NCI scientific community, working closely with investigators & other bioinformatics analysts to adapt, develop, & maintain analysis tools, workflows, applications & databases in support of these efforts. Other responsibilities include porting various applications & databases to the web to increase accessibility for the community & providing associated training in the use of these tools. The analyst will use various genomic analysis & other data visualization tools. Promote collaboration through support of shared resources within ABCC & NCI including coordination with existing efforts within ABCC including the Bethesda, Frederick, Rockville & Gaithersburg NCI campuses.
