Biostatistician II Job Type: Full Time Location: Philadelphia, PA Job Description: Biostatistician II Cancer Clinical Trials The American College of Radiology (w.ACR.org) seeks a Biostatistician II to support the Symptom Management Team and help with other projects as needed. The ACR serves as headquarters for the Radiation Therapy Oncology Group (w.RTOG.org). The RTOG is a National Cancer Institute sponsored cooperative group that has conducted clinical trials for more than 40 years, enrolling and treating over 75,0 patients and publishing over 700 clinical reports and related scientific articles. The candidate must have sufficient educational preparation to conduct prospective and retrospective statistical analyses of clinical trials and be fluent in SAS programming. This level of ability requires a master's level of statistical education. Individuals with experience in a multi center clinical trial setting, experience with Quality of Life/Patient Report Outcomes analyses, and dealing with missing data are strongly preferred. Strong computing skills in modern statistical software in addition to SAS is desired. Familiarity with MS Office products and excellent written/oral communication skills are required for this interdisciplinary position. The position may involve some travel to professional meetings in cancer and statistics, and provides opportunities for career development with respect to publications from the projects.
