BRANCH MANAGER - HOUSTON, TX Leading Freight Forwarder / NVOCC/ Customs House Broker, with locations in 20 countries and 1500 employees strong is seeking a Branch Manager in the Houston office. The position reports directly to the President & CEO. RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: Develop new business and maintenance of current accounts Quotations (new quotes / updates for existing quotes) Manage and support all Export and Import operational functions handled by the Dept. staff Manage Dept staff in order to achieve customer satisfaction and growth for the Dept. through excellent service. Bottom line results Monthly financial reporting to the President & CEO/ Financial Controller Accounts Receivable/ Payable duties Maintain and issue customer profiles Review non-conformities and take appropriate corrective actions Cross training between Dept. staff Maintenance /communication with all existing accounts File auditing Hiring and firing of Dept. Personnel Performance - Evaluations of Dept. staff Other duties as assigned JOB REQUIREMENTS: Minimum 5 years experience as a Branch Manager in the freight forwarding industry Knowledge of Customs regulations and other agency requirements Customs Brokers License a plus Must be able to work independently, multi-task, be a team player and work in a fast paced environment Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills Must have computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint BENEFITS: Medical, Dental, Life Insurance, Flexible Spending Account and 401(k) with company match.
