Job Description
Summary Supervises and coordinates activities of personnel involved in performing internal operations in the branch; provides guidance to avoid bank losses and manages tellers in order to provide customer service by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Ensures that audit requirements are being followed daily
Performs security checks and cash audits
Reviews bait money
Tests alarm monthly
Ensures night drop opens under dual control
Researches proof errors daily
Collects on NSF checks that are returned in their cash items daily
Producing a weekly report
Enforces dress code that provides a professional image
Tracks tellers hours and overtime weekly and provides an hours worked report monthly.
Produces a teller incentive report monthly which includes tracking transactions, hours worked and teller outages for the month.
Tracks all P&L recoveries for the branch and submitting a monthly report
Keeps the tellers motivated
Completes a quarterly coaching form to ensure tellers are on the right track to reach their quarterly and annual performance goals
Provides assistance on the platform side as needed, and may open accounts daily
Works a teller window as needed
Pays strict attention to detail and makes good decisions to perform overrides and a look for possible counterfeit, forged checks etc. constantly
Maintains the vault under dual control at all time
Performs research work for customers regarding deposits not being posted or debited from their account
Prepares work schedules and assigns duties to operations personnel to ensure efficient operation of branch
Audits accounts, records of proof, and certifications to ensure compliance with standard procedures and practices
Compiles required and special reports on operating functions of branch
Compiles and accurately reports all financial data as required by government regulations
Directs employee training to improve efficiency and ensure conformance to standard procedures and practices
Verifies count of incoming cash shipments
Controls supply of money on hand to meet branch's daily needs and legal requirements
Conducts staff meetings of operations personnel, or confers with subordinate personnel to discuss operational problems or explain procedural changes or practices
