Job: Building Support Engineer (Secret) LOCATION: Fort Jackson, SC JOB INFORMATION URGENT NEED FOR A BUILDING SUPPORT ENGINEER TO PERFORM GROUNDS SUPPORT AND CLASSROOM SET-UP, WILL SPONSOR CLEARANCE FOR THE RIGHT CANDIDATE SUMMARY:Supports mechanical, electrical and physical aspects of the building and grounds on the National Center for Credibility Assessment (NCCA) campus in areas that are not otherwise serviced. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Coordinate facility work order requirements with the installation primary points of contact including pest control, janitorial service, collection and removal of refuse, plumbing operations and mechanical maintenance of HVAC, boilers and chillers. Escort service workers as needed. Provide general facility support to include painting, general landscaping and care of surrounding grounds. Maintain classrooms in good repair, moving/assembling classroom furniture for graduation; perform minor carpentry and transport supplies around campus. Perform non-complex, minor preventative maintenance and repairs on inventory of lawn and garden equipment as well as facility systems which may include HVAC, irrigation, electrical and septic. Ensure safety and security for staff, visitors and students by maintaining lawns, edges, walkways and parking lots free of debris and snow. Report scheduled and routine maintenance issues daily to prevent NCAA mission failure. Assist in safety inspections. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: Demonstrated the ability to communicate professionally with a wide variety of visitors and members of the military and government community. Ability to lift 50 pounds. Team player with a professional demeanor. Ability to effectively multi-task and follow through on assignments. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Active Secret or possess the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or equivalent; degree preferred. 3+ years of experience in facilities/building/ground maintenance.
