ROLE SUMMARY:

The Business Analyst, Finance Project role is responsible for the requirements development process through the analysis, specification and verification of multiple levels of requirements from an end-to-end perspective and supports the ongoing management of the requirements. The role requires collaboration with the Finance community and its partners to identify areas of improvement, prioritization of the opportunities, solution development and execution.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

*

PROJECT GOVERNANCE. Assist with construction and maintenance of a Business Analysis Framework that can be used in conjunction with the Finance Project Portfolio. The Framework will contain the foundation for standard practices and deliverables to be followed and required for the project portfolio at all levels.
*

PROJECT MANAGEMENT. Serve as a key member on formally scoped projects by teaming with functional business leads to ensure existing processes are modified to achieve the project objective.
*

PROCESS IMPROVEMENTS. Develop methodologies to promote process improvements within the Finance organization. Provide guidance to train and allow for independent identification and resolution for smaller opportunities.
*

REQUIREMENTS DOCUMENTATION. Facilitate collaborative design sessions with the Finance team and its partners to deliver key requirements documentation. In scenarios where IT development is required, team with IT to ensure communication of all requirements and confirmation technical and business requirements are in sync.

TESTING. Assist with development of user acceptance test plans and coordinating with IT to ensure completeness of functional and user test plans. Coordinate functional and user acceptance testing by executing the testing strategy with support of key business resources and tracking test performance. Perform data analysis to support evaluation of system defects or to develop requirements for new functionality. Triage and troubleshoot complex user-reported system defects as required.

VENDOR SELECTION. Lead formal requirements gathering sessions with business and IT Teams to help facilitate and guide any RFP, RFQ, or RFI offerings. Work as an extension of the Business and IT while working with prospective Vendors during the bidding process. Assist the Finance Program Manager with any templates and processes required to support vendor selection and onboarding.

TRAINING. Provide training on required business analysis tools/templates and framework and working with the Senior Manager, Business Processes to update and maintain the Business Analysis Framework methodology, templates, and seeking opportunities to train other BAs, PMs on the methodology/tools.

And other duties as assigned.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

*

Bachelor s degree required

*

Experience managing teams of internal resources, customer and vendor relationships
*

Demonstrated strong written and oral communication and presentation skills
*

Experience working cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees to maximize performance, creativity, problem solving and results
*

Up to 30% travel

CERTIFICATES & LICENSES:

*

Certification with IIBA or PMI in the area of Business Analysis is desired
*

Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred

Technical Writing skills, to communicate information effectively to teams and Senior Management

Modeling skills, to represent requirements information in graphical forms that augment textual representations.

Project Management skills to ensure BA framework is constructed in a manner to compliment the project management deliverables and gates.

PHYSICAL & SAFETY REQUIREMENTS:

This person must perform repetitive activities that require considerable amount of sitting for long periods.
