This career opportunity provides new-to-insurance industry professionals exposure to data analysis, problem-solving, and project leadership to support a team of State Managers within our Personal Lines Operations team and help them reach their strategic goals in a region. A State Product Analyst will also be responsible for managing the revision and production implementation process with legal, compliance, filing, actuary, state management, operations, and claims.Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
- Manage the rate revision process for assigned states and the implementation of countrywide product changes- Offer technical support during the development and implementation of new and modified personal lines products, regulatory changes, and system enhancements by working with State Managers, Pricing, HTG and Compliance- Practice project management skills and techniques to coordinate cross-functional implementation activities- Provide analytical research support and analysis along with line of business expertise- Research insurance products and services, including monitoring and evaluating competitor products as well as industry best practices- Contribute to the business planning process and recommend process improvements- Write business specifications and manage system project development ensuring timely delivery, maintenance of tracking documentation, and communication within the departmentPosition RequirementsRequirements:
- Bachelor's Degree with a GPA of 3.0 or higher- Legal right to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship, now or in the future- Robust internship and leadership experience- Excellent verbal and written communication skills- Ability to adapt to new situations quickly- Strong experience in working with teams- A high degree of self-motivation- Willingness to develop professionally- Strong technical skill set in coding and Excel- Consultative approach to solving business challenges- Ability to cultivate strong business relationships- Strong analytical, decision making, organizational, and time/project management skills- Effective problem solving skills to propose solutionsRecognized as one of America's Best Employers by Forbes, The Hanover is proud to be among the top property and casualty insurers in the United States.
