If you have strong analysis skills and are driven by process improvement, this could be the role for you. Our Business Analyst II/III/IV is a crucial role within our company.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Using a variety of elicitation techniques, work with key stakeholders to understand and document current (\\"as-is\\") and future state (\\"to-be\\") end-to-end processes.



Perform gap analysis between current and future state processes in order to document business requirements necessary to move to future state.

Identify improvement opportunities to optimize future state design.



Evolve requirements from highest level needs and features to detailed requirements, collaborating with project resources to ensure the solution meets the needs of the business.



Manage all aspects of requirements engineering, including elicitation, analysis, specification, verification, and management throughout the project lifecycle.



Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including: developing the test strategy, creating test scenarios and scripts, organizing and coordinating testers and testing activities, and reporting out results.



Communicate, facilitate and collaborate in a wide variety of settings and projects that are complex, up to and including enterprise-wide assignments.



Define procedures or identify innovative solutions for how to complete analytical tasks.



Influence decision making and actively engage with project leaders, sponsors, and key stakeholders to ensure optimum business value delivery.



Act as a mentor and role model for other team members.



Assist Learning and Development producing job aids, training material and instruction manuals for end-users.



Assist senior team members with project management duties.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Business Analyst II:



Education, Experience, & Professional Certifications:
Typically require demonstrated expertise in Business Analysis that has been gained via a combination of formal education, certification processes, and/or practical experience per the following:

* A minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in providing business analysis in employee benefits, financial services, technology delivery, or other related fields.

* Desired: Bachelor s and/or Masters degree in Business or a related field. Achievement of or progress toward: Fellow, Life Management Institute (FLMI), Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or Certification of Competency in Business Analysis (CCBA) preferred; Project Management Professional (PMP), certification in Process or Performance Management, or certification in Quality Assurance/Testing desirable.

* Preferred: Masters Degree in Business or a related field.

* Highly encouraged: Membership in local business analysis association.

Knowledge & Skills:

Demonstrated communication, facilitation, and collaboration skills in a variety of settings and projects. Applies a wide range of acquired analytical skills and working knowledge of company procedures and policies.



Job Complexity & Judgment:

Works on assignments that are increasingly complex and vary from the routine. Works within defined procedures but is able to deviate from normal routine and identify analysis tools and techniques for the situation from a variety of options. Works toward increasing collaboration on project teams. Understands when to escalate issues if necessary, and drives decisions themselves whenever possible. Is a role model for other analysts, and may also act as a mentor.



Independence & Supv required:

Typically receives general instructions on routine work. May require detailed instructions on new assignments. Follows established procedures.



Interaction & Influence:

Contacts are often cross department lines. Builds strong working relationships both within and outside of department, including other analyst peers.



Business Analyst III:



Education, Experience, & Professional Certifications:
Typically require demonstrated expertise in Business Analysis that has been gained via a combination of formal education, certification processes, and/or practical experience per the following:

* A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in providing business analysis in employee benefits, financial services, technology delivery, or other related fields.

* Bachelor s degree in Business or a related field preferred.

* Achievement of or progress toward: Fellow, Life Management Institute (FLMI), Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or Certification of Competency in Business Analysis (CCBA) preferred; Project Management Professional (PMP), certification in Process or Performance Management, or certification in Quality Assurance/Testing desirable.

* Master s Degree in Business or a related field preferred.

* Highly encouraged: Membership in local business analysis association.

Skills required:

* Experience in requirements engineering practices.

* Experience in re-engineering processes to improve effectiveness and efficiency.

* Excellent communication, time/project management, creative problem solving, organizational, and analytical skills.

* Ability to facilitate diverse groups of stakeholders to reach a common outcome.

* Experience in insurance operations preferred, Employee Benefits Division experience a plus.

* Proficiency in Visio and requirements management software preferred, experience modeling processes in IBM Blueworks Live a plus.

Business Analyst IV:



Education, Experience, & Professional Certifications:
Typically require demonstrated expertise in Business Analysis that has been gained via a combination of formal education, certification processes, and/or practical experience per the following:



* A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in providing business analysis in employee benefits, financial services, technology delivery, or other related fields.

* Bachelor s degree in Business or a related field preferred.
