JOB DESCRIPTION

POSITION OBJECTIVE
The purpose of the position is to provide business and financial analysis and support to the Dealer channel, Marketing department, and various internal customers. Responsibilities include but are not limited to business and financial reporting, financial analytics, analytics and administration. Other responsibilities as assigned by direct supervisor. The Senior Business Analyst position reports to the Director of Financial Planning & Analysis - Wholesale.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Review all Dealer Development programs (DDP). Recalculate and review region DDP accruals on a quarterly basis. Ensure payments made in a timely manner. Track and review DDP payments and investigate differences from accrual to payment. Maintain a rebate forecasting table to show rebate costs at various dealer revenue attainment levels.
Support the Dealer channel and other departments in financial decision making support. This can include calculating financial exposure, incremental revenue and margin, and breakeven incremental units of proposed and completed marketing programs and pricing changes. Calculate accruals for marketing programs and KMI subsidy as necessary. Track dealer sign up and run reports to determine eligible dealer rebate payments
Create and distribute various monthly dealer-by-dealer reports (i.e. M&A and P&S) of forecast vs Actual, year over year, trends, and stack rankings etc. Create and distribute a monthly dealer-by-dealer actual/forecast with remaining amount needed to reach dealer quarterly rebate target and TTL region quarterly Base Plan. At the appropriate time, begin to utilize potential new corporate software platform for this data.
Investigate the business drivers impacting the financial results (Revenue dollars units, gross margin dollars, and gross margin %) by dealer, model, and customer category. Use various internal reporting tools such as core SAP transaction codes, SAP Business Warehouse, Business Objects, CRM and Avenue
Create and provide meaningful ad hoc analysis and financial models to assist the channel in making informed and timely decisions. Examples include what-if scenario tools that show a dealer s ROI for a remaining purchase level, dealer growth trends used to help rebate negotiations, assistance with profitability by customer, cost savings based on changes products services eligible for rebates, etc.
Daily reporting of units by model and dealer vs. total unit plan
Monthly reporting and distribution of average months of dealer inventory. At the appropriate time, begin to utilize any new corporate software platform to continue to retrieve reports and analyze dealer inventory trends.
Continuously examine and reengineer processes using information technology tools for improving analysis and reporting.
Actively participate in key projects and implement changes to channel processes as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor s Degree in finance or accounting
Minimum 1-3 years of related work experience
Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills are required.
Proven ability to effectively communicate financial data
SAP ERP system experience a plus (SAP Business Warehouse and/or Business Objects a plus)
Proficient in MS Excel including advanced functionality
Word, PowerPoint, and Access capability is helpful
Self-starter with ability to investigate and solve problems independently and meet deadlines
Ability to collaborate with others and use judgment to produce results and conclusions
Ability to manage multiple priorities and adhere to deadlines while maintaining accuracy
Excellent communication and customer service skills
