JOB DESCRIPTIONSeeking strong Business Analyst candidates for one of the largest electric utility companies in the nation! Southern California Edison is looking for talented individuals to join their team to safe, reliable, affordable, and clean energy for today and the future.
This individual will work with other members of the Preferred Resources Pilot (PRP) team on a year long project to create innovative solutions for resource portfolio design, acquisition, deployment, operation and measurement to help Southern California Edison achieve its vision for the future of energy consumption.
? Extract, evaluate, and synthesize complex data from various source systems and tables using software tools and querying techniques including SAS, MS Access Database, etc. to identify, interpret and link meaningful correlations, trends and anomalies
? Plan all aspects of analysis, presentations, and implementation strategies for complete complex analysis
? Derive recommendations from analyzing large volume and variety of complex data to optimize business decisions
? Develop, review drafts, and make presentations to stakeholders
? Accountable for data accuracy and integration
? Identify approach, issues, solutions, risks and mitigation to optimize data quality
? Act as a data consultant to the PRP project by identifying value added improvements for analyzing/reporting data
? Prioritize work by assessing business needs and develop options for meeting needs
? Coordinate and collaborate across multiple groups
? Perform all other duties as assigned
The ideal candidate will have:
? Bachelor?s degree in Business, Information Technology, Statistics or related field
? Five of more years of data analytical experience
? Demonstrated knowledge to access and synthesize data
? Demonstrated ability to think methodically and strategically
? Demonstrated ability to interface with cross-organizational groups
? Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively verbally and written
? Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
