As a Business Consultant at Sapient Global Markets you will help clients to drive innovative strategies to improve business performance and manage risk. Typical engagements include roadmap planning, competitive edge analysis, operational process improvement, application configuration and system integration, data mapping and data management, vendor selection and change management.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Coordinate and execute customer/vendor analysis, and client interviews and workshops.
*

Develop and present solutions and recommendations.
*

Perform analysis and business case development, applying new conceptual frameworks and analytical approaches.
*

Actively participate in business development activities, creating strong working relationships with clients.
*

Be an active participant within a community that provides thought leadership, project support artifacts and analytics
*

Support the set up and maintenance of the investment accounting rules and standards and ensure investment transactions are accounted for correctly for internal and external reporting purposes.
*

Strong knowledge of portfolio accounting systems (SimCorp preferred) and form strong relationships with professionals across Investment Operations, Investment Finance and Financial Reporting
*

Strong working knowledge of various investment products and an understanding of investment accounting standards, controls and reporting practices
*

Ability to readily adapt to rapid changes in the investment and technology environments.
*

Excellent hands-on experience with SimCorp Dimension
*

Ability to capture and document trade life cycle, and support the implementation of the same with the business and leading the functional testing of the various modules of the product
*

Ability to write specification documents and test cases, and worked with Testing Suites (eg. Jira)
*

Experience in functional testing all aspect ofSCD SIMCORP DIMENSION(modules, Inbound, outbound, transaction workflow (SWIFT)
*

Knowledge of different types of reports in SimCorp and writing data extracts
*

Hands-on experience withWRITING SQL QUERIES AND SQL SCRIPTS
*

Knowledge of industry standard SDLC and Testing Methodologies
*

Knowledge/experience in working with and building applications in MS Excel (VBA, Excel functions, Using add-in) an asset

REQUIREMENTS:

*

Significant relevant work experience in fund accounting operations, supporting new investment initiatives by ensuring appropriate set up and mapping in the Investment Sub-ledger and the corporate general ledger
*

Undergraduate or advanced degree - Finance , Commerce, Accounting, Economics or another related discipline
*

CA, CMA or CPA accounting designation preferred
*

Proven relevant experience in investment accounting in the financial services industry
*

Strong understanding of investment accounting standards and reporting practices and solid experience in financial reporting for investment portfolios
*

Practical experience with accounts/portfolio structures and multi-asset portfolios (i.e. equities, fixed income, real estate, derivatives)
*

Experience in supporting financial reporting,investment, regulatory & financial schedules, and audit requests relating to financial statements and accounting controls
*

Proactively identify process inefficiencies and recommend process improvements considering upstream/downstream impacts
*

Significant experience with fund accounting/administration technologies, operations and processes.
*

Practical industry expertise in capital markets, insurance or wealth/pension funds
*

Experience in process improvement, comparative analysis and change management projects using formalized tools and methodologies.
*

Strong understanding of and ability to create financial models and business cases.
*

Strong communication and presentation skills.
*

Experience of managing time, establishing priorities and meeting goals.
*

Openness to travel and work at client offices.
