Job Description

The Product Controlling Change-the-Bank (CTB) team consist of business analysts who are responsible for delivering strategic and significant tactical change to the Product Control Group (PC), Treasury, Accounting Control and Valuations. The team is split into multiple business facing streams, supporting the Securities business

Program Management within Finance is a centralised, global function, which manages a portfolio of change projects in the financial control arena. The position is within business controlling function. The team takes part in both Finance/Product Control initiated projects as well as Business initiated programmes. The role will be focused on the Finance architecture making sure that our RTB teams have a set of harmonised tools and processes to achieve accurate, timely and efficient financial reporting and control, across FICC and Equity products.

Apart from line Finance staff, the analysts in the team deal with most functions within the bank, including
ul li The front office (traders, quants, trading assistants)
li Other control functions (market risk, quantitative risk, credit risk, collateral management)
li IT (front office, desk developers, Finance and other support functions)
li Operations (settlements, confirmations)

The businesses are dynamic and fast-moving, resulting in significant portfolio of front office driven change work.

As a result the opportunities within the team are extremely varied, and include:

ul li Analyzing changes in valuation methodologies with desk quants, traders and MRC/QRC control functions
li Analyzing business requirements for new products, ranging from front-to-back IT infrastructure to business process changes.
li Supporting other desk-sponsored changes to the risk management systems
li Championing PC requirements across the full spectrum of front office IT change programmes, both tactical and strategic.
li Being responsible for delivering process change to PC, not just system change.
li Supporting significant business restructuring, for example transitioning between platforms and restructuring across regions.

Your Job will be to assist/drive in the delivery of change in the Finance environment. This includes products from the more Vanilla portfolio through to the more exotic structures, across IB Securities.

Working very closely with the Finance line teams you will be responsible for the deliver of change in partnership with other stakeholders following established design frameworks.

As mentioned above the type of work within the team is very diverse and as a result your role will involve moving from project to project at pace, working on more than one project at once regularly. The role requires that you have the aptitude and presence of mind to communicate design or testing deficiencies where appropriate as soon as possible, here the appropriate level of support will be provided.
ul li You have, through prior work experience, demonstrated strong communication skills.
li You have experience as a business analyst within Finance, Operations or Business aligned change team, demonstrating a thorough understanding of process, product set and accounting.
li You may be a Finance line professional looking to stay close to products, but are interested in a "change the bank" role.
li You are a driven individual that is able to maintain strong focus, learn quickly and demonstrate sound motivational qualities, both individually and as part of a team.
