Job Description
Title: Business Development Account Manager 3 Veterans Administration Location: x Unspecified Northrop Grumman Information Systems (NGIS) Civil Systems Division (CSD) is seeking a proven Business Development professional for the role of Account Manager (AM) in support of the Veterans Administration (VA) account for the Health Information Technology Programs (HITP) Business Unit. The successful candidate should have demonstrated knowledge of all addressable customer organizations including VHA and VBA, budgets, near, mid term and long term procurements, competitors, required investments, and the customer set's future vision. Relationships at the VACO is also important. Specifically, the successful candidate will work closely with customers to identify and shape near term and long term requirements, work directly with the appropriate HITS executing organizations, manage the account's pipeline, conduct activities in the Northrop Grumman Business Acquisition Process (BAP) leading to opportunity identification and qualification, contribute to the groups strategic plan, and engage in the capture process through award. The individual will serve as the principal liaison point of contact with all key customers within assigned market segment and perform ongoing assessments of customer requirements, determine market trends and develop strategies for the application of NGIS capabilities and discriminators against specific customer needs / opportunities. The individual will work closely with the business units to identify common solutions that meet the needs of that sector. In addition, s/he will work closely with the alliance and strategy team to determine common relationships required to scale in this market. The individual will prepare comprehensive industry business/market plans that include in depth analyses of market opportunities for all NGIS / CSD / HITS products and services for the account. The successful candidate possesses a detailed understanding of customer vision, strategy, mission requirements and key problem areas/concerns and desired outcomes. The successful candidate should have proven programmatic experience on industry programs, a detailed understanding of the VA market and familiarity with key industry individuals in that market. Travel required to additional customer sites located outside of Suburban Maryland, DC Metro area, and in Northern Virginia. Candidate is expected to spend majority of time in customer sites located in Suburban Maryland, DC Metro area, and in Northern Virginia. When customer visits are not scheduled, the selected candidate will perform administrative and other assigned duties operating in a telecommuting environment. Basic Qualifications: . Bachelors degree and a minimum of 6 yrs of successful business development expertise in marketing systems development, systems integration and/or IT services for the VA. Additional 4 years of experience will be considered in lieu of degree. Preferred Qualifications: . Demonstrated success in a matrixed organization, interacting with multiple levels of management. . Demonstrated experience identifying, qualifying and winning $100M (non IDIQ) opportunities.
