AON IS LOOKING FOR A DELEGATED INVESTMENT MANAGEMENT BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT ANALYST
As part of an industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions as part of our delegated investment solutions platform in our Chicago Practice.
* Edit and assemble sales material related to the delegated investment offering marketed by the business development team.
* Act as an intermediary for Request for Proposal ( RFP ) questions related to Aon Hewitt Investment Consulting, Inc. s outsourced investment management offering and proprietary institutional investment management vehicles.
Maintain return data and models related to AHIC s proprietary commingled investment vehicles utilized by the delegated investment services practice.
Respond to questions by the business development team about structure and performance of our institutional investment management vehicles.
Create pricing scenarios and cost comparisons for different investment scenarios.
Profile and qualify opportunities for the business development team using internal resources and third-party information resources.
Update client records and document client proposals in CRM. Co-ordinate with the business development team to manage internal referral opportunities.
Assist with the maintenance and organization of the master deck used in business development efforts.
DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
The Business Development Analyst will primarily act as a support resource for the business development efforts of AHIC s Delegated Investment Management business line. The Business Development Analyst will work directly with the institutional business development team to support the sales efforts of AHIC s delegated offering to pension, defined contribution, and endowment and foundation clients. This position requires a dynamic professional who can:
Understand the nature of an engagement and assemble a proposal that is relevant to the opportunity.
Manage multiple, competing tasks and deliver high-quality, accurate output.
Work across different teams that comprise the outsourced investment management offering to gather both quantitative and qualitative data.
Assist the product management team to develop and maintain a variety of materials to support new business development, existing business and other specific product management initiatives and responsibilities.
Utilize the firm s internal resources to answer product specific requests for information, requests for proposals, and other inquiries in a timely manner.
Analyze external competitive products and platforms for opportunities.
Qualified candidates will have the following skills and experience:
An undergraduate degree in Business, Economics, Finance or relevant experience.
One to three years of investment management experience in any of the following roles: sales support function in a wholesaling environment, performance analyst supporting the distribution of institutional investment products, or some other relevant investment management experience. The candidate should have working knowledge of the terms used by the investment management industry related to benchmarks, returns, investment strategies, and expenses. The candidate should appreciate the regulatory environment that the investment management industry operates in. The candidate should be numerically inclined, self-motivated, and conscientious with regards to their output.
