To develop new business goals and plans and provide leadership to ensure the fulfillment of business unit growth, strategic direction and profit objectives.
Business Development
Manage all customer pursuit activity as assigned and focus on new business growth goals.
*Prioritize account growth opportunities to meet current growth expectations
*Continuously analyze assigned customer base in order to evaluate and report customer demand.
*Assist in strategic plan development.
*Provide liaison between field sales, customers, and internal company resources for new business pursuit.
Program Pursuit Management
Assist in the development and execution of program capture strategies for new business opportunities.
*Establish business pursuit strategies for assigned customers.
*Review strategic decisions with senior leadership during the pursuit process.
*Execute program strategies, participate and/or lead business pursuit teams.
*Develop knowledge of company products, markets, and customers.
*Acquire knowledge of competition, their products, and markets.
*Develop features and benefit techniques for promoting company products to customers.
*Develop competitive strategy for commercial and technical proposals including the financial analysis and pricing recommendations
Four Year Degree (B.S. Engineering or Business) plus 8 years industry experience or marketing/sales of technical products. MBA preferred with 6 years experience.
Knowledge of cost based and market based pricing to develop win strategies and identify profit positions.
* Excellent presentation and communication skills (verbal and written); multi-language skills preferred.
* Excellent computer skills which includes Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
* Knowledge and experience in proposal preparation.
* Demonstrated knowledge of business and contract law, export regulations and finance.
* Strong analytical skills and attention to detail required.
* Ability to prioritize.
