JOB DESCRIPTIONOur client, a leader in the a leader in electronic security, is looking for someone experienced in qualifying business leads with a technical background.
Working with primarily inbound leads, the Technical Business Development Manager is responsible for initial customer contact and lead qualification. The Technical Business Development Manager works with the General Manager of Sales and Marketing and/or Director of Marketing to distribute qualified leads to members of the Sales Team.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
? Minimum of two (2) years of experience in technical sales, preferably software or SaaS related.
? A firm background in Microsoft Office and the technical skills necessary to succeed in a technology company (Salesforce.com, GotoMeeting, etc.).
? An understanding of a recurring revenue sales model is preferred.
? Bachelor?s degree preferred.
? Make initial contact with customers and prospects to determine intent, need, timing, and estimated revenue.
? Manage inbound emails, calls and website contact requests to qualify sales opportunities in a timely manner. Works with sense of urgency on time sensitive leads.
? Identify prospect's business needs and goals to determine solution fit.
? Capture contact information and lead qualification details.
? Perform research to verify, identify and record missing or incomplete contact details.
? Maintain and record a continuous and regular contact routine with all incoming leads.
? Navigate corporate structures to identify decision makers and determine the customer buying process.
? Identifies the appropriate contact person/people and decision maker in organization.
? Coordinates initial meeting with Sales Executive and prospective client.
? Assists Director of Marketing with executing Marketing initiatives to support company goals.
? Supports Sales Executives as needed with lead qualification of existing clients.
? Maintains Salesforce with all sales communication in a timely manner.
