JOB DESCRIPTION
The BDR ultimately helps drive Datalink revenue by uncovering, nurturing and qualifying opportunities at target and white space accounts, setting phone and face-to-face appointments for Datalink account executives and following up on various lead activity.

Duties:

* Work closely with field sales and marketing teams to identify prospects and target accounts

* Make outbound calls and send emails to targeted IT decision makers identified through marketing programs or field sales representatives

* Follow up on inbound sales leads

* Introduce Datalink and discuss the company value proposition.

* Uncover and understand customer needs

* Nurture and qualify opportunities

* Promote and stimulate interest in Datalink solutions and services

* Prioritize opportunities by decision making time frame & buying stage

* Secure face-to-face or phone sales meetings (appointments) for sales teams

* Build and update databases as well as lead profiles

* Track and follow results of appointments set

* Complete monthly production reports

* Assist with determining ROI of marketing campaigns and business development efforts


QUALIFICATIONS
All positions require excellent verbal and written communication skills, between both the customer and all levels within the organization. Knowledge of sound business practices and a proven track record of exceeding customer expectations and anticipating their needs are also required.


* Bachelor s degree in business Management or 4 years related industry experience in lieu of degree

* At least 1 year of inside and/or outside sales and/or marketing experience

* Knowledge of solution and service oriented sales approach

* Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain strong customer relationships

* Ability to articulate Datalink value proposition in initial call situations as well as face-to-face meetings.

* Ability to understand technical information and communicate to a broad range of technical and business people

* Literate in MS office and customer relationship management applications

* Strong oral and written communication skills

* Must be self-driven.

* Able to travel, not to exceed 20% of the time

JOB DESCRIPTION
The Business Development Representative helps the organization increase revenues by building the organization s lead pipeline, driving new customer acquisition efforts, and enhancing the productivity of account executives. Primary responsibilities include contacting prospects via the telephone, using creative strategies to reach decision makers, qualifying leads, identifying opportunities, and securing face-to-face appointments for Account Executives. Prospect, qualify opportunities, establish customer commitment, obtain PO s and follow through/monitor order development, delivery and installation.

* Lead Generation/Prospecting - Make outbound calls to prospects resulting from marketing programs and cold call prospects as part of new territory/new AE launch efforts, uncover and understand customer needs and build relationships, quantify and qualify opportunities, promote and stimulate interest in Datalink solutions and services, prioritize opportunities by decision making time frame & buying stage, and secure sales meetings (face-to-face or phone appointments) for AE s.

* Database Management/Reporting Capture and manage account and contact information and opportunities within Siebel module and qualification forms, distribute opportunities to account executives and sales directors, provide regular updates to the management regarding opportunity generation and escalation needs.

* Market Development Integration - Provide input to marketing and product management regarding customer needs, trends, and insights, learn and execute effective messaging, help identify target audiences, assist with research target markets and assure market programming success.
