This position is primarily responsible for the administrative functions of Hyperion Planning and Essbase as part of the Oracle Enterprise Performance Management System (EPM), SAS Office Analytics and Activity-Based Management applications. This role requires knowledge in multiple financial processes such as forecasting, budgeting, month-end close, financial reporting and cost allocation and proficiency in creating and documenting solutions for complex financial systems. The incumbent provides the highest quality of service to every customer.
Uses current Hyperion and SAS tools to design, develop and maintain Essbase and OLAP data cubes, relational tables, data maps, and system reports for ongoing and future enhancements to the existing applications and development of new applications to meet forecasting, budgeting, month-end close processing, profitability and financial reporting requirements.
Maintains Business Intelligence System user security through Oracle Hyperion Shared Services and SAS Management Studio.
Manages Oracle Hyperion Essbase application outlines for multiple applications and application types using EPMA.
Creates, modifies and maintains web forms and embedded calculation logic in Hyperion Planning based on Finance user needs.
Creates, modifies and maintains Hyperion business rules using Hyperion Calculation Manager.
Installs and supports end-user client tools.
Performs quarterly and annual audits of all Business Intelligence Systems security and controls.
Documents and maintains Standard Operating Procedures and Processes and trains users as needed. Serves as initial contact to resolve system issues, and if necessary, manages the process to escalate resolution with Oracle or SAS support.
Follows the corporation change control procedures for changes to all applications.
Maintains effective relationships with business, finance and operations managers to identify and correct system issues and communicate system, product and organizational changes impacting financial reporting.
