Our financial services client in Charlotte, NC is currenlty seeking a Business Systems Analyst

- Work with business user groups to provide training, resolve questions, assess user needs, and recommend changes
- Document and administer change management requests or backlog items
- Develop and maintain schedules/calendars, change timelines, meeting agendas, meeting minutes and other artifacts
- Provide regular status updates to manager and team members
- Provide technical expertise in identifying, evaluating, and developing systems and procedures that meet business requirements
- Identify and coordinate creation of user stories and product backlog items (Agile development)
- Facilitate daily standups with technical staff which includes QA, development, and leads.
- Understand and assure quality, security, and compliance requirements are met
- Participate in enabling business process through technology
- SME for one or more systems producing and disseminating investment research
- Fulfill other analysis or research activities as requested
- Participate in BCP activities

A successful candidate will possess the following:

- Demonstrated experience translating business requirements into technical user stories/tasks
- Excellent negotiation, conflict management and meeting management skills
- Ability to collaborate and work with geographically distributed team members, domestic and international
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to clearly communicate to both technical and non-technical audiences and to translate between the two
- Demonstrates advanced problem solving, analysis, and multi-tasking skills
- Demonstrates experience and knowledge of SDLC methodology
- Experience with JIRA preferred or similar issue and software development tracking tool

Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of business systems analysis experience, design experience, or a combination of both

Desired Qualifications
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Knowledge and understanding of business requirements gathering and translation to technical requirements
- Ability to work, influence, and build effective business partnerships with all levels of team members
- Ability to act as a liaison between the technical design staff and business requester to ensure all requirements are met
- Knowledge and understanding of project management methodologies: used in waterfall or Agile development projects
- SQL experience
- Basic Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Access) skills
- Microsoft Visio experience
- Experience creating data flows
- Proven experience coordinating processes or projects
