JOB DESCRIPTIONAPPLY Job Description
The role assists with maintaining the GBS enabling technologies. Because this position requires technical proficiency individuals with a background in computer systems and business management will have the best chances for success. The role works with other resources to determine and implement specific technical needs and priorities of the GBS organization including upgrades to current systems and enabling technologies.
Specifically, the role assist with:
Coordination of IT projects
Maintaining and upgrading current systems and enabling technologies including security
Managing GBS reporting requests
Interfacing with internal and external stakeholders
Providing guidance for problems and questions
Assist with maintaining the overall control and coordination of the business systems support processes by:
Ensuring timely and accurate processing of all requests from the Exton based GBS function.
Participating in broader IT projects.
Ensuring enabling technology interfaces are tested regularly and are working well to avoid issues with month end.
Ensuring adherence to Shire s enabling technology processes.
Acting as subject matter expert for any issues relating to the enabling technology processes.
Liaising with counterparts in other GBS centers to solve issues, to knowledge share and maintain consistency.
Reviewing error logs with the team and ensure remediation.
Providing audit support relating to enabling technologies.
Provide support for new financial systems implementations or upgrades of current financial and related systems.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Finance or Accounting
- 6 years experience from roles managing a variety of enabling technologies
- Good knowledge of ERP systems (strong preference for SAP and JDE)
- Experience of working in a shared service or large multinational company environment
- MBA with technology-related emphasis preferred
- Supervisory experience
- Experience of SAP, JDE and Hyperion HFM
- Business degree in addition to computer science degree
- Experience from the pharmaceutical industry
