Be part of something special as we continue to re-position the Copley Square Hotel as the area's premier AAA four diamond boutique hotel: apply for our full time Business Travel Sales Manager position! This is a tremendous opportunity for an organized and eager Sales person who understands how to build relationships and cultivate exciting partnerships. This is a highly visible position within our Hotel and within Gemstone Hotels & Resorts. Essential Functions: Sets and achieves budgeted sales goals by executing sales activities within assigned market segments. Reviews action steps on a monthly and quarterly basis. Recommends and takes appropriate actions to achieve objectives in key result areas. Assists in the completion of weekly and monthly reports. Maintains effective correspondence within the Hotel, with current clients, and prospective clients. Solicits new clients and continues to foster existing partnerships. Prepare proposals with the Director of Sales that are geared to maximize revenues while satisfying client and Hotel needs Prepares for and participates in the annual RFP season. Conducts on-site visits and entertainment of prospective and currently clients, on a weekly basis. Contacts in-house guests to foster additional business and repeat bookings Coordinates with various departments the activities related to the market segments managed and specific needs of our clients. Maintains proper flow of information within the hotel by reviewing sales performance of assigned accounts Attends weekly yield management, Sales, and Staff meetings. Communicates client's requests to respective departments in an effective and timely manner. Increases sales volume and profitability by assisting in developing and executing projects for assigned market areas as stated in the Hotel's marketing plan Conducts market analysis to determine client needs, occupancy potential, rates desired, and competitive positioning. Attends Sales Blitz/Trade Shows in key market cities to develop new business and foster continued business. Prepares reports as necessary to develop a more informative database for improved management decision-making and critical evaluation of market segment performance. Attends local events to promote the Hotel during non-traditional work hours. Other duties as assigned
